Produced by local and regional waste reduction experts, this “RRR West” guide provides the how’s and why’s of household recycling (including holiday season nuances), information about household hazardous waste disposal, an A to Z disposal guide, and loads of accessible resources to help residents reduce the amount of trash they produce. It is the kind of resource that local residents save and refer to throughout the year.

The Springfield Materials Recycling Facility Advisory Board (MAB), a recycling organization in Western Massachusetts, exists to promote recycling and to advise the Department of Environmental Protection and the Materials Recycling Facility about enhancing and sustaining recycling in the region. We are
inspired by a concern for our environmental future and we strive to communicate the importance of
recycling.
